JEFFERSON MEMORIAL  Memorial to Thomas Jefferson, 3 rd President  Author of the Declaration of Independence  Completed in 1943, 200 th anniversary of his birth

LINCOLN MEMORIAL  Honors Abraham Lincoln, our 16 th President  The Gettysburg Address is engraved on the wall  38 marble columns and 56 steps

OUR CAPITOL  Capitol Building has a large dome  Congress makes the laws for our country  100 Senators – 2 from each state  440 members of the the House of Representatives
