P ROGRESS AFTER MID TERM Insulation installed Replaced old wood with new Cleaned the gas transfer pipes Cleaned out the lower manifold Gasket installed Insulation on the lower manifold and the cylinder

T ESTING 2 Saturday (APRIL 2 nd ) Conditions : Partly cloudy with light drizzles After cleaning the gasifier the wood was lit Once the flame was hot enough we attached the blower at different locations to see the output Combustion of wood

O BSERVATIONS Blower at filter outlet Reached maximum temperature in 15 minutes Exact temperature undetermined but evidence of good temperature Excellent discharge flow white smoke Output when blower was placed closer to gasifier

O BSERVATIONS Output after full assembly Air leaks checked and fixed Discharge flow decreased, white smoke Temperature decreased compared to previous assembly but maximum temperature measured at 980 C Failed to achieve combustible gases Without the blower the flame comes out of the inlet port Output after completion of full assembly

C ONCLUSIONS Insulation caused temperature to reach the optimal value Presence of white smoke indicates an incombustible gas Flame is positioned too close to inlet ports Insulation is currently unprotected and flammable upon direct contact Air inlet ports

S OLUTIONS Inlet ports need to be blocked and an inlet manifold should be installed through access cover Upgrade filter to allow air to cross through efficiently and remove excess water Continue to experiment with blower location to improve flow Apply a non-flammable paste to the insulation Suction of blower
