Porcupine Researched by: Sonia Lombardo The porcupine is a very cool animal. They have a very strong protection and are able to eat evergreen needles! Find out more in the porcupine PowerPoint! Researched by Sonia Lombardo.

Porcupine Habitat Porcupines live in forests, desserts, and grasslands of North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Porcupine Food Diet In the winter porcupines eat evergreen needles and tree bark. In spring porcupines eat leaves, flower buds, stems, and rotten fruit.

How Do Porcupines Get Their Water? water from rivers, lakes, and streams.

Porcupine Protection A porcupine’s quills helps them protect themselves. When they are scared they “shoot” their quills at their enemy. A simple porcupine has over 30,000 quills!
