The Bible’s prophecy

The early believers  “Then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” (Luke 21:27)  “This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)

The early believers  “turned unto God from idols, to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom (God) raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.” (1 Thessalonians 1:9,10)

The early believers  “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and he shall send Jesus Christ … whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.” (Acts 3:19-21)

The value of the prophecies

The kingdom of the future  “And many peoples shall say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob.” (Isaiah 2 verse 3a)  “He (God) will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law (the word means instruction, teaching) and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” (verse 3b)
