Paramedic J o b D e s c r i p t i o n Figure out what kind of injury the patient has and its the seriousness. Determine if patient has any pre-existing medical condition. Give the patient whatever care and treatment they can, until they reach the hospital. Once in hospital, paramedics may brief emergency staff on the patient’s medical history, and help with pre-admittance treatment.

Paramedic W o r k i n g C o n d i t i o n s Work which involves a lot of stress and excitement. Paramedics are expected to reach emergencies in a matter of minutes while driving safely. Upon arrival, they have to deal with who may be horribly injured, mentally disturbed or extremely upset. (They calm them down and try to alleviate their suffering.) Work with irregular hours. Paramedics are responsible for keeping their medical supplies well-stocked and their equipments in good condition. (Daily checks and keep them clean.)

Paramedic Most paramedics earn between 20,000$ to 50,000$. E a r n i n g s If highly trained paramedic are higher tan those with basic training.

Paramedic Community colleges, hospitals and emergency service organizations all offer paramedic training. E d u c a t i o n Courses last from 2 to 24 months depending on level of qualification. Classes involve Combination of in-class instruction with supervised hospital and ambulance experiences. To qualify Must be at least 18 years old. Have High School Diploma Have valid driver’s license and a CLEAN driving record.
