Taking Our Regional Collaborative To 2020

Taking Our Collaborative To 2020 The National Challenge For each Regional Collaborative to become the focal point for putting strategy into action by; Supporting NHSBTs 2020 Strategy (action plan) to achieve ‘world class’ performance in organ donation and transplantation Being a vehicle for effective and transforming change in hospitals, the wider organ donation and transplantation community and the public

Taking Our Collaborative To 2020 Evaluate new techniques for the preservation of retrieved organs. Develop training programmes to sustain and increase clinicians’ organ donation understanding and expertise. Families of potential donors will only be approached by someone who is both specifically trained and competent in the role. Develop national strategies to promote a shift in behaviour and increase consent and test progress with regular public surveys. Health Ministers should have a duty to promote organ donation and transplantation End of Life Care practices should be reviewed to establish whether they might be adjusted so as to promote donation after brain death.

Taking Our Collaborative To 2020 TOT2020 This will require from the Regional Collaborative actions that allow: 1.True collaboration that will drive innovation in donation and transplantation. 2.Synergistic enhancement of the capacity of donation services within each region. 3.Engagement with the transplant community within the regional collaborative. 4.Empowerment of the collaborative to support a revolution in public behaviour in relation to organ donation.

Taking Our Collaborative To 2020 Our Challenge 1.Choose one goal that the collaborative will strive toward over the next 1-2 years. 2.Decide how to achieve that goal? 3.Decide how to ensure you motivate and bring your colleagues with you to achieve that goal?
