METRO At A Glance: METRO operates and maintains a fleet of 326 full size buses, 27 rail cars, 66 small buses/vans and 5 replica trolleys METRO has 9 transit centers, 14 rail stations and 4,000 bus stops. METRO utilizes 3 bus garages, a bus heavy maintenance facility and a rail maintenance facility

Asset Categories Vehicle – Revenue and Non-Revenue Equipment Facility

Asset Condition Rating The condition of assets tracked in “Ellipse” maintenance software. Also - Vehicles – Rated annually on a scale of 1 to 5, 1=new, 5=poor, required by NYS DOT. Facilities - FTA funded study to determine the condition of various facilities with subsequent 5 year capital plan.
