6 CGS & PPP Since 1989 NCDOT has acquired property for a future intermodal station in Charlotte Charlotte Gateway Station (CGS) will serve local & intercity bus, commuter & intercity rail, trolley, taxi and rental cars Private sector interest has been expressed in developing the project or being a master developer

7 CGS & PPP SL 2007-439 authorizes public private partnerships (PPP) for transportation infrastructure Board of Transportation approval with Legislative oversight Partnership interests with City and CATS Staff are developing procurement regulations for Board consideration
