The facts… 1.You are dead, not alive – vs You are dead and buried – vs You are dead, buried and raised – vs. 5-7

The facts… 4.Since we have died, have been buried and raised, our only option is to live to God – vs

The Appeal Based on the Fact Romans 6:1-10

The appeal… 1.Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus – vs Do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires – vs. 12.

The appeal… 3.Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness – vs Offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life – vs. 14a.

The appeal… 5.Offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness – vs. 14b. 6.Sin should no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace – vs. 15.

How to Revolt Against The Reign Of Sin In Our Bodies

Overcoming sin in our bodies… Identify personal weaknesses. Recognize temptations. Confront sinful desires. Stay away from known sources of temptation.
