Understand Yourself Your Abilities – what are you good at? Your Interests – what do you like to do? Your Values – what is important to you? 3

What’s important to you? Is helping others important to you? Do you want to make lots of money? Are you a risk taker or prefer stability? Do you like to work alone or would you rather be around people? What type of lifestyle do you want to lead when you grow up? 6

What careers match your interests? 7

Be realistic You may love to karaoke or sing in the shower… But you cannot carry a tune! A singing career is probably not a good idea. 8
