Who could forget that night? The crisp wind blew the crinkled leaves onto the sleepy grass as a field mouse scuttled across the lawn. No doubt, the little critter was running for shelter. Jamil had no idea where his Jacket was, but Mom warned him not to go until he found it. Jamil never listened. The minute he stepped outside, the rain thundered down. His tuxedo looked wet and limp. I secretly felt sorry for him, but I chuckled at his mistake. “Good job, genius,” I laughed. Point of view- 400

Raoul worried someone might see him at the other end of town and tell his mother. That would really spoil the surprise, he thought to himself as he stopped at a pawn shop. Today was his parents’ anniversary, and Raoul couldn’t wait to give them their present. He plunked his on-of-a kind golf flag onto the counter. The man with the glass eye peered at it curiously. But when he saw the authentic Tiger Woods signature, he quickly doled out its worth to Raoul. With $3,000 in his pocket, Raoul headed to the travel agency next door. Ten minutes later, Raoul jogged home and thought of the sacrifices his parents had made for him. He couldn’t wait to see the look on their faces when he presented them with airline tickets for the honeymoon they never had. Point of View- 500
