Information Session

 We are a parent organized Non-Profit 501(c) 3 membership organization made-up of female and male athletes ages  USAV is the governing body and is divided into geographic regions (40)  We are part of the Carolina Region 

 East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club will provide the resources and education necessary to develop a solid foundation of volleyball skills for every student-athlete. We strive to foster a solid technical knowledge base, skill- set, sportsmanlike conduct, and a love for the game in each player.  We provide the opportunity to develop our student-athletes' leadership skills, competitive attitude, and a desire to achieve their highest goals.

 First teams formed in 1995 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1999  Rated top 8 clubs in North Carolina  16 Black team ranked 60 th in Nation last season  4 Teams finished in the top 5 of the Carolina Region points standings  Quality coaching  Competing  Strong nationally  High level  Recruiting  Collegiate players at every level  Over 10 players playing at the D1-D3 level right now

 We base our cost on number of players in the club. Cost includes:  All Tournaments  Registration fees, coaches travel expenses  1 day regionals and multi-day tournaments/Qualifiers  Coaching and Instruction  Head and Assistant Coach compensation  Programs and Training  All practices through season  Club Training Camp  Strength and agility training  Additional camps/clinics at a discounted rate  Facility/Equipment Cost  Usage and fees for 2 facilities  Administrative Costs  Insurance, Business Manager, website, etc.

 Highest level- exposure to college coaches, very competitive play  Ages 13-17’s  More multi-day tournaments, fewer regionals  Will play through June at AAU Nationals in Orlando  $250 deposit on signing night, followed by 7 monthly payments Dec-June  Ability to fundraise for registration fee and additional costs for AAU’s  Uniform payment includes 3 jerseys, a warmup jacket, and 2 practice t-shirts

 Includes regional tournaments and multi-day tournaments  Ages 14-18’s  Will play at Big South in Atlanta in March  16-18’s will play in Capitol Hill in D.C. Feb th  $250 deposit on signing night, followed by 5 monthly payments Dec-Apr  Uniform payment includes 3 jerseys, 2 practice t-shirts  Warmup jacket is optional

 Participate in mainly regional level tournaments plus 2 multi-day tournaments  Raleigh and Williamsburg, VA  Ages 12-15’s  $200 deposit on signing night, followed by 5 monthly payments Dec-Apr  Uniform payment includes 2 jerseys, 2 practice t-shirts  Warmup jacket is optional

 All tournaments will be one day events in Eastern NC  Ages 11-13’s  $200 deposit on signing night, followed by 5 monthly payments Dec- Apr  Uniform payment includes 2 jerseys, 2 practice t-shirts  Warmup jacket is optional

 2 hour Saturday practices beginning Nov 21 st - Mar 19th  Ages 10-14’s  You do not need to attend travel tryouts if you’re only interested in this level  Separate registration form/fee  If you do not make a travel team, we will offer the Developmental option to players ages 14 and under  Will participate in 2 half-day tournaments in Raleigh  One-time fee of $350  Practice t-shirt and 1 jersey included

 Dates  Middle School (14 and under) October th  High School (15 and over) November 8-11 th  Registration form  Choose the level you are interested in playing  Tryout by grade level  1-3 sessions per age group  It would be in your best interest to attend all sessions  Tryouts will be held at Next Level Training Center and are closed to parents  ECJVC coaches will evaluate players based on ability, leadership, & commitment  Players will be contacted by phone or throughout the tryout week  Everyone will be contacted no matter what!  Signing nights November 2 nd for 11-14’s and November 16 th for 15-18’s

 *USAV Age Definitions for & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1997 or still in HS 17 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2004  How old will you be on August 31 st, 2016?  That is the age group you will play in

 After all teams are confirmed, ECJVC will hold mandatory Club Training Camp sessions  Begins the week of November 16 th  Main focus is specific technical training in:  Passing, serving, defense, hitting skills  Consistent coaching of fundamentals across all ages  Sessions will be held at Next Level or Martin Gym  Multiple sessions will be offered for all age groups, dates/time TBD  All ECJVC players must attend at least 2 sessions  Last training session will be Tuesday, November 24 th

 Team practices will begin the week of December 1 st  We will create a practice schedule based on what you have communicated on your tryout registration form  Be very clear with your daughter’s schedule!  Practices are two times per week for hours depending on age and competitive level  National and Semi-National teams will practice 2.5 hours, 2 hours of volleyball, 30 minutes of conditioning/strength training  Regional and Semi-Regional will practice 2 hours

 Practices will be held at both facilities  A monthly practice schedule will go out to all members by and will be posted on ECJVC website  Practice tees  Mandatory on practice days  Included in the uniform package

 New for 2016! The Carolina Region will have one-day regional tournaments on Saturdays and Sundays depending on the age group. Each age group is scheduled to play on one Sunday during the season. Complete schedule is on the CR website and can be viewed at orschedule. orschedule
