Nylon bag Preparation

New nylon bag. Card used so that ink from permanent marker pen doesn’t seep through to other side of bag. Numbers must be large

Numbered bag. Used tag.

Bag. rubber band (size 16). cable tie (10 cm).

Once feedstuff placed in bag, top of nylon bag folded in half.

Top of nylon bag folded again.

Top of nylon bag folded for third time.

Top of nylon bag folded 3 times and then twisted tightly.

Twisted nylon bag folded down to give a 3 – 4 cm tail.

10 cm cable tie laid on top of folded bag Face tie away from you. This makes it easier to attach bag to chain

Wrap rubber band around top of bag and tie. Usually about 1 cm from top of folded bag. This forms a knob at top of bag which prevents bag coming loose from chain.

Finished filled bag.
