Father: James Roosevelt - businessman and financier. Mother: Sara "Sallie" Delano - Strong-willed woman who did not wish her son to be in politics. Siblings: One half-brother - James. Wife: Eleanor Roosevelt - Niece to Theodore Roosevelt. She was the first First Lady to be more politically active, involving herself in causes like Civil Rights.Eleanor Roosevelt Children: One daughter - Anna Eleanor; Four sons - James, Elliott, Franklin Jr., and John Aspinwall.

The years he served in office 1933–1945

1941 A date that will live infamy December National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA)- created the Public Works Administration to provide aid to cities for construction and the National Recovery Administration to help businesses.
