Timeline of Adolph Hitler April 20, 1889 Hitler was born in Braunau, Austria near the German border Parents were Alois ( ) and Klara ( ) Hitler February 1900 brother (Edmund) died January 3, 1903 father died October 1907 took entrance exam for Vienna Academy of Fine Arts (rejected) October 1908 applied to the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts for the second time (not even admitted to test) December 21, 1908 Hitler's mother (Klara) dies of breast cancer May 1913 leaves Vienna and moves to Munich, Germany 1914 enlists in the German military served from 1914 to 1920 WWI 1921 becomes leader of the Nazi party 1933 Appointed Chancellor of Germany 1934 Declares himself Fuhrer and Reich Chancellor After loosing the war in 1945 and commits suicide in his bunker April 30, 1945
