1 The Transit Model Application “Ready to go” FSUTMS-Voyager application of the Transit Model that includes all of the model elements in the framework Speeds * Connectors Pathbuilding Mode Choice Assignment Reporting Mode Choice Calibration * Summit data files Avoids scripting framework elements, allowing the user to focus on localized attributes such as transit speeds and mode choice calibration Tier A, B and C areas (covers all areas except for SERPM) Released September 2008 * - requires scripting/information from user

2 Installing the Transit Model Application 1. Import the transit model into the travel demand model 2. Review the modules with the transit model 3. Connect input and output files from the model to the files in the transit model 4. Modify the catalog keys, appropriate scripts and input files 5. For the base year, calibrate the auto and transit speeds (or travel times) and compare them against observed data 6. Calibrate the mode choice model for the base year 7. Validated the base year transit assignments by comparing them to observed counts 8. Test the transit model against at least one future alternative to assess its forecasting ability

3 Importing the Transit Model Application Download the model from FSUTMSOnline Open the transit model application in CUBE Voyager Create new directory and save it in the applications folder of the model Close the application
