Sun, Moon, and Earth Unit How does the moon change shape?

In this unit we will answer the questions: How does light determine what I can see of the moon? Why can’t I always see a full moon? What is happening with the light when I can see a full moon? What is happening with the light when I can only see part of the moon? What is happening with the light when I can’t see the moon at all?

Our activities will include: Keeping a chart of drawings of the moon as it goes through a lunar cycle Creating power point presentations to answer questions about the phases of the moon Creating a website to share with classmates and parents to tell them what we’ve learned
