Plants are living things There are all kinds of plants, all over the world Each has special parts to help it survive in it’s environment.

Plants need certain conditions to grow

Plants have many parts Each part has a special job to do seed roots stem leaves flower

People use plants for many things clothing shelter food medicine

People eat all parts of plants We eat the flowers We eat the roots We eat the stems We eat the seeds

All plants start as seeds Seeds come in many shapes and sizes Seeds can travel from place to place Seeds need certain conditions to grow

Seeds come in many shapes and sizes

Seeds travel in many ways Wind helps them travel People help them travel Animals help them travel Water helps them travel
