ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS10X Optima 2011 Optimally designed aluminum fins disperse heat away from the CPU via 4 heatpipes, while switching noise free, high capacity 120mm fan quickly cools the heatsink for stable operation of high performance CPUs. Powerful Cooling Performance

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS10X Optima 2011 Optimized for maximum airflow, Shark’s Fin Blade Fan greatly reduces the turbulence caused by fan rotation, thus decreasing the noise and vibration while increasing the airflow. Shark Fin Blade Fan Normal Fan Shark Fin Blade Fan

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS10X Optima 2011 If the cooler is to be reinstalled, should I remove the old thermal compound and apply fresh thermal compound? The heat transfer performance of thermal compounds may degrade over time. Please wipe off the previously used thermal compound and apply a fresh layer. What CPUs are Supported? All single, dual and quad core CPUs based on Intel socket LGA 2011/1155/1156/775 are supported. All single, dual and quad core CPUs based on AMD socket FM2/FM1/AM3/AM2+/AM2 are supported. Please address cautionary notices regarding CNPS10X Optima 2011’s installation. If an air guide is attached to the case, make sure it does not interfere with the installation of CNPS10X Optima To prevent possible minor injuries during installation, please wear gloves if possible while handling the heatsink. Do not ingest the thermal grease. If there is any problem with the product, please notify the retailer. What size cases can be used? Mid-Tower cases or larger, with the case on it’s side the height must be at least 180mm or greater. ※ CNPS10X Optima’s Dimensions: 132(L) X 85(W) X 152(H)mm ※ Make sure air guide does not interfere with the installation of CNPS10X Optima Q&A

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS10X Optima 2011 What is the max Wattage it supports? It supports up to 290watts. What is the thermal resistance? The CNPS10X Optima 2011’s thermal resistance is 0.128±0.005 ℃ * Note: this thermal resistance value was obtained through tests performed on a ‘dummy heater’ and may vary on different testing equipments and environments. The CPU cooler’s base is smaller than the CPU. Will this affect the performance? The metal cover you see outside is actually a heat spreader, and CPU core itself is located under the heat spreader and it is much smaller in size. So, as long as the cooler is mostly in contact with the heat spreader, there is no negative effect on the cooling performance. * IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) The metal cover on top of the CPU, which is made of copper with nickel plating protects the core physically, spreads/dissipates heat and blocks electromagnetic waves. Q&A

ⓒ 2013 Zalman Tech Co., Ltd. CNPS10X Optima 2011 How much thermal grease should be applied for installation of CNPS10X Optima 2011? The amount of thermal grease to be applied depends on the degree of flatness of the top of the CPU assembly (more specifically the flatness of the top of the IHS* which is the metallic cover placed over the CPU’s PCB). Generally, if the top of the CPU is uneven or not flat, more thermal grease should be applied than on a CPU that has an IHS with an even & flat top surface. For most situations, application of approximately 1/3 of the initially provided amount of thermal grease will be sufficient for the CNPS10X Optima. * IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) The metal cover on top of the CPU, which is made of copper with nickel plating protects the core physically, spreads/dissipates heat and blocks electromagnetic waves. What is an effective method for wiping off thermal compound from the top(IHS) of the CPU? A dry cloth with a bit of alcohol or acetone is effective. Please be cautious to prevent alcohol or acetone from contacting the motherboard. Wouldn’t the motherboard warp due to the weight of the cooler? If the motherboard warps, would that cause any problems? If the cooler is properly installed as indicated in the User’s Manual, any warping of the motherboard caused by the tension of the cooler’s clip will be within a safe range for stable operation. Where can I find motherboard compatibility information? Please visit Zalman website or contact the appropriate customer representative. Q&A
