It must be viewable in a browser and allow the user to control how they move around the product. Here are some websites with examples of e-newsletters. A link to the e-newsletter will be emailed to individuals, local community groups, schools and charities. Your e-newsletter should include images or other assets that will attract attention and encourage people to attend the event. The e-newsletter must have: •the animated banner •a brief introduction to ‘Movie City‘ •a link to a new movies section •a link to an event section •a link to the 'save the date' audio clip. The event section must include a link to the digital advert. The event section must provide clear information about the event based on your recommendations.

E-newsletter What is an E-newsletter? – write this down in your books Example1 Example 2 Example 3 Why would we use a newsletter?

E-Newsletter When you are presenting information to an audience what are the important features you need to consider? Ease of use Text Colour Images Remember the newsletter is not for you to read! Remember your audience

Homework Create a timeline storyboard for your digital advert. (a series of screens shown in sequence used for planning a movie or animated sequence) What does a storyboard look like?

E-Newsletter Storyboards are useful way of planning products and should capture all details and design decisions. What the practise Cab wants from you What else do you need to think about? Different types of links – text, images, symbols Navigation –moving from page to page or around a page with ease. Consistency –font, colour, positioning, layout, use of symbols, location and order of navigation links.

Tips Logos and emblems create a sense of identity. Symbols and buttons for ease of use. If using video clips keep them short. Using sounds can create an atmosphere Animation is great to show how something works but it can be very irritating! Text is not always easy to read on screen so limit the number or words. Use short easy to read chunks, crisp and clear to keep your audience interested.

E-Newsletter Preparation includes gathering all of the information, images, audio files, video clips etc. These need to be saved in one folder that you will use to create your e-newsletter. Things to remember! – saving your sources, the purpose of your product, the audience of your product.

Create! What software will we use?
