Proposed Modifications New addition to Orange County Ordinance: Heavy-Duty Vehicle Idling Reduction Requirements Prohibited from idling for more than 5 consecutive minutes Exemptions Traffic conditions Bus passenger comfort (10 minutes) Armored vehicles, police, fire safety, military, etc. Vehicle safety checks Vehicle duties other than driving Health safety operations Sleeping in a passenger berth (until 2012)
