Place, date, unit, occasion etc. Slide 12 He needs a lot of grain, since the average pig producing Jokke has 1089 slaughter pigs on his farm. His colleague, average cow producing Jokke, has 101 milking cows. These cows each produce nearly 9000kg milk pr year.

Place, date, unit, occasion etc. Slide 13 There are part and full time farmers in Denmark Together all the farmers of Denmark produce: 8.2 mill. tonnes of grain. 2 mill tonnes pigmeat. 4.7 mill. tonnes of milk

Place, date, unit, occasion etc. Slide 15 In fact, Denmark is the only country in EU27 where the number of pigs is higher than the number of citizens. We can’t eat all these pigs our selves, so Denmark is also the biggest exporter of pigmeat in the world. Each year Denmark exports for 8 billion euros.

Place, date, unit, occasion etc. Slide 17 At Axelborg, Jokke can meet with the people he have elected to represent his interests.

Place, date, unit, occasion etc. Slide 18 Danish farmers have a long tradition of joining associations and organisations designed to handle their professional and political interests. Recently all Danish agricultural NGOs have merged into one organization. The Danish Agriculture and Food Council represents Denmark’s largest business and innovation cluster employing some 150,000 people and exporting agricultural products, food and equipment to the value of about 15 billion Euros a year.
