Nature Of The Work Protect Lives and property Most of there time is not on the force it usually doing paper work Allot of hard work and dedication for becoming a agent of any sort.

 Police work can be very dangerous and stressful  40hrs week  Over time in common  Work over holidays & nights

Training & Other Qualification Need a collage degree or higher. Some departments require 1 or 2 coursework. 21 yrs or older 3 to 12 months of training.

Job Outlook Population growth is the main source of demand for police service Layoffs are rare Many opening will be when either people retire or leave the job
