Final Jeopardy

Describe the special parts of a plant that help move materials through the plant. What do the xylem and phloem tissue do in the plant?

Chapter 3: Final Jeopardy Plants use a system of tubes to move materials. Two tissues called xylem and phloem are in the roots, stems, and leaves. The xylem tissue makes up tubes that carry water and minerals from the roots to the leaves. The phloem tissues makes up tubes that carry sugar from the leaves to other parts of the plant. Back
