A message from… The Glen Riddle Rotary Club

Thirty years ago, the first Delaware County Fair opened at Rose Tree Park.

The Delaware County Fair is an original project of The Glen Riddle Rotary Club.

Although the Delaware County Fair has had to relocate a few times throughout the years, the mission of the fair has never changed…

…to raise money for the many charities locally and internationally that Rotary supports and… Special Memories for Special People.

This year will mark the 30 th annual Delaware County Fair!

Follow us down memory lane and imagine the countless hours and monies donated for projects in your home town.

Rotarians and spouses have cooked burgers and worked at this fair for thirty years!

Some Rotarians haven’t missed a Rotary meeting in 39 years.

Attending District Conferences and events have been a part of the Glen Riddle Rotary Club for 44 years.

Rotary used to be all men.

Or at least they thought so… The wives were always there for organizational support and man power.

We had a lot of great press in the early years.

We sold pretzels.

We always had volunteers.

For four days…work, family, and responsibilities were put on hold.

So that other families could have fun and money could be raised in the name of Rotary.

Fellowship… Posters…

And more posters.

We’ve sponsored baseball teams.

Rotarians dressed and planned for success.

Holiday auctions helped raise more funds.

There were countless fair board meetings…

…and then it was time for the fair once again.

Every member participated.

We eat at the fair. We work at the fair.

It has always been about Special People.

Special Memories

Special Friends

Special Families

Special Events

Special Volunteers

Some members have left our club…

…but will remain in our hearts…

…and our memories forever.

Members are recognized by their fellow Rotarians.

Charities are beneficiaries.

Rotarians work hard.

Sponsors support us.

The special people come back year after year.

Memories are made…

Characters keep coming back…

One thing remains…

The Delaware County Fair…

Service Above Self…
