DEFINE Cuisine: -the method or style of cooking along with the foods eaten by a particular culture or region.

INFLUENCES Geography Climate Religion Culture of the People/Settlers

WHY A VARIETY OF CUISINES? Climate and geography vary widely Original settlers of a country my have been different from one region to another.

CHANGES IN CUISINE Immigration New immigrants from throughout the world bring their traditions to our culture. Mobility Traveling and moving occurs more throughout the world than before. People take their cultures with them when they move. Technology Food is easily transported throughout the world so it is more available to all throughout the year. Media Exposure to food through various media forms.
