Harrison High School Network Information Harrison High School uses a Windows 2008 RS server and a Windows 7, XPN client platform with ring-star topology. The school server is located in the school server closet in the Harrison media center. Every classroom or workspace connects to the server through a fiber connection, and each workspace connects to a Cisco Network System 8-port switch receives the fiber connection. The school’s network connects at 1Gb. The entire school also has wireless network capability as well through the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) wireless network. The Harrison Media Center has 32 student workstation clients, four faculty workstation clients for circulation, two media specialists, and one paraprofessional; and two network printers, one color print and one black and white printer. These workstation clients connect to the school network through Cisco Network System 8- port switches. The media center also has twenty iPads available for circulation in classrooms. The iPads connect through the Wireless (Bring Your Own Device) connection. Also, the science department and criminal justice department have 5 laptop carts total available that connect using a Cisco Network System 8-port switch, but all laptops have wireless capability. Each classroom also has a Cisco 8-port switch for the two workstation clients in each classroom. Ashley Sherman MEDT 7477
