Spiders By Miss Thompson

Contents Species of spider Appearance Habitat Prey / Predators

Species The black widow spider is very poisonous – 15 times more than a rattlesnake! Funnel web spider – it hides in its web until its prey gets stuck, then attacks.

Appearance Spiders have eight legs, and they have fangs which are used to inject venom. Here is a close-up!

Habitat Spiders live all over the world, on every continent except Antarctica. Spiders can live in trees, grass, desert, and also your house!

Prey / Predators Spiders use a web, spun out of sticky stuff, to catch their prey. They usually eat smaller insects, and are preyed on by wasps and birds.
