Presentation transcript:

The salmon of knowledge is a story about a young boy called Fionn. He wanted to join the Fionna.

To join the Fianna he had to do many tests and learn 12 books of poetry. He went to one of the best poets in Ireland to help him.

One night the poet went fishing and caught a salmon but not a ordinary salmon – it was the salmon of knowledge. The poet came home and told Fionn to cook the salmon.

The poet went to get vegetables and told Fionn not to eat any of the fish. After a while Fionn saw a blister on the fish. He popped it with his thumb.

Then he put his finger in his mouth to stop the pain and he got the gift of knowledge.

Fionn told the poet. The poet was sad but he made Fionn the leader of the Fionna and they won many battles.
