Bellringers Active/Passive Voice

5/3/10 Write the following explanation in the bellringer section of your notebook. An action verb is in the ACTIVE voice when the subject of the sentence PERFORMS the action. An action verb is in the PASSIVE voice when the action is performed ON the subject.

5/4/10 Write A if the action verb is in the active voice and P if it is in the passive voice. Our furniture was carried inside by the movers. The door was held open by me. A standing ovation was received by the speaker. The reporter interviewed the movie star.
