Why did God save me? Ephesians 1:6 Ephesians 1:12 Ephesians 1:14 So I can go to heaven when I die So I will be forgiven, free from guilt So I will love and serve people better So I will tell others how to get to heaven So I can become a better person – better marriage, parenting Ephesians 1:6 Ephesians 1:12 Ephesians 1:14 Ephesians 2:7 It’s not about me! It’s about God’s glory!

What Forgiveness is like (Psalms 103:12) as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. (Isaiah 44:22) I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you." (Jeremiah 31:34) "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." (Micah 7:19) You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

Forgiven and Free of Condemnation (Revelation 12:10) For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. (Romans 8:1) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, (Romans 8:33-34) Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. {34} Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died…is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Paraphrase – Ephesians 1:11-12 Verse 11 – God saved me because He does what He wants and my salvation fits into His plan. Verse 12 – God’s purpose for saving me was that people would praise Him as a result. (Psalms 115:1,3) Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness…{3} Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.
