Under 14 Skills Assessment At this age it is very important to emphasis that executing simple skills well will ultimately improve technical ability in the future. By using this simple assessment sheet you can identify what skills each member of your squad are good at and ultimately which skills need improving. Scoring Criteria: 1=Poor 2=Average 3=Good 4=Very Good 5=Excellent * This sheet should be filled in by both the coach and the player so that both can agree on the areas for development. A plan of action must then be agreed and put in place. Technical Skills Rating (1,2,3,4,5) Comments Pick Up Catching High Catch Chest Catch Low Catch Passing Hand Pass Punt Kick Pass Long Kick Pass Shooting Defending Tackling Blocking
