Advice for beginners Become a SQL guru. Become a Python guru. Develop native applications for whatever platform is most practical. In most cases, there isn't a 1 size fits all HTML 5 solution!
Reason why native is better for us. Location services (higher accuracy GPS) 3-axis gyroscope 3-axis accelerometer Digital compass Ambient light sensor. Design for known screen ratios.
I use an iPad everyday and I never use HTML 5 APPs. (tried many) Remember when the Facebook app for iPhone sucked?
