Chinese Describe Basic Optics In the 1500’s the Chinese describe basic optics.

Pinhole Camera The first pinhole camera was invented by alhazen in the 1500s.

Isaac Newton Sir Isaac Newton discovers that white light is composed of different colors.

First Photo In 1814 Joseph Niepce achieves first photo image. The camera he used was camera obscura. But the image needed 8 hours of sun but then fades away.

Video Production on the rise start Video production started in 1890 when Thomas Edison and his friend. His friend made a  basic camera that was motor powered and could photograph motion picture was known as a kinetograph. Before Edison attempted to record on a wax cylinder but failed miserably. First public public viewing In 1895, the first public viewing of a film occurred. Although there was no sound on it, people still enjoyed the film.

First cinema and its show  In December 1895, the Lumière brothers created the first cinema and show called “The Arrival of the Train at La Ciotat”. Which took place in France.

Sound On October 6th, 1927 sound in films was introduced. Today, sound is vital in any movie, or show. Which is why it led to many more jobs for things such as actor and actresses. It also helped shape film production history to what we know it as today.

Phonovision was created in 1927 and is the earliest video format.

The 2 inch quadruplex http://inventors.about.com/library/inventors/bldigitalcamera.htm The 2 inch quadruplex was invented in 1956. It was a commercially viable broadcast video format. Its developer was Ampex.

Sony Ev format clp-1B Sony created the first portable camera in 1964. It was called the Sony Ev format clp-1B. It was primarily used in industry and education.

Vhs In 1976 the VHS was invented. It could store a few hours of video. They were possible for recording T.V shows. The developer was RCA.

Still and digital camera In 1981 Sony made their still and digital camera. They released the Sony Mavica still camera, which was the first commercial still camera. Images were recorded onto a mini-disk was used, then put into a video reader that was connected to a television monitor or color printer.

CD In 1990, Kodak developed the Photo CD system and proposed "the first worldwide standard for defining color in the digital environment of computers and computer peripherals." In 1991, Kodak released the first professional digital camera system (DCS), aimed at photojournalists. It was a Nikon F-3 camera equipped by Kodak with a 1.3 megapixel sensor.

Internet video production YouTube has brought a whole new world to the video production world. The site allows people to record themselves, or what they’re doing, or both at the same time. It has quickly become the most famous source to use to watch videos.

Netflix Netflix is another online site, but big productions, such as those from Disney, Universal Studios, Etc. This site signs deals with them to allow the to upload movies and for others to watch. In 2014, Adam Sandler signed a deal with Netflix to make his own movies just for Netflix. He will produce his movies and film them but this time upload them to the internet.
