My Basic Question Do you think there is a lot of violence in Maryland, or Baltimore City?

Introduction I choose this topic because I want to know what other people think about when they hear about Baltimore city or just the word Maryland itself. This topic is important to me because I know a lot of people that have been shot, killed or physically and mentally abused and the law is not doing anything about it. This is also important to me because I know I wouldn’t want this happening to me. I know I would want someone to help me if I was getting abused and people don’t do that these days. I feel as though Maryland has a lot of domestic violence, suicide, rapes, and homicides and I would like to know what other people that live in Maryland actually think about where they are living.

Back round research While researching my topic the first article I read was talking about the gun violence in the different states and cities. I have realized that over 100,000 people die every year. I also learned that they made an organization by the name of Brady Handgun violence protection act to prevent people from killing themselves and others. Before they would give the gun to someone they would also check their background information to see if they have ever been to jail and they had a criminal background they wouldn’t get the gun because they thought they would use it against someone else. I also learned that fire arms, suicide, homicide, firearm suicide, and homicide rates were extremely high during The second article I read was talking about how the different children that die every year. I learned that 20,000 youths and children under the age of 20 years old are either seriously injured or killed by someone with a gun. I learned

How is your question related to Baltimore city community My question Do you think there is a lot of violence in Baltimore City ? Relate to Baltimore city communities because most of our killings are coming from gangs and the gangs are in the communities disturbing peace.

Explain what you did to conduct your survey. To conduct my survey first I thought about the questions I would use and would it give an reasonable answer after I wrote the survey questions down I made a number amount of copies to pass around to my pears.

What can you conclude from your data? I can conclude from my data that most people said that they would not kill to be in a gang I thought that was the most important survey question I came up with because the same percentage who said no is the same percentage that will reduce the gang violence percentage.

How would you change you survey if you would do it again on the same topics I would change all my survey questions to make the topic more exciting.

What question do you want to research in the future? What can we do as a Baltimore city community to help prevent a high gang violence rate ?
