Who should take AP courses? ANYONE If you are willing to work hard and be dedicated to your education then AP courses are for you. Since we are currently only offering AP courses at the University level we suggest that students who are University bound take AP courses. How do I earn University Credits? 1.Complete the AP course in first semester 2.Continue studying the course / attend any extra help sessions with your teacher from January-May in 2 nd semester 3.Write the AP exam in the second week of May (exams will be subsidized by the school, they cost approx. $80/exam, the school will be paying for a minimum of half and potentially the whole amount) 4.Exam results will be provided in July (You can receive a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) 5.If you receive a 4 or 5 score on your exam you can apply to the University for credits. *each University is different – our information package provides you with the website where you can research particular universities* You can potentially earn ½ to 1 full credit for each AP course in University, that is a savings of $500-$1000 for each 4 or 5 earned on your AP exam!! (not to mention the money that could be earned from scholarships)
