Introductions to the Commitment Process

Prepare Teach the principle doctrine. Testify of how it has helped you Teach the blessings that will come into their lives through obedience Check for understanding: “Is this something you could do?” or, “Is this something you would like to do?” “is their any reason why you couldn’t do this?” Answer all concerns, Keep repeating the process until all concerns are answered an the sprit prompts you to invite them to take the next step.

Normally you will invite them with a “Will, you …. Question. 1.Will you read the scriptures everyday? 2. Will you pray everyday? 3. Will you attend seminary on time every morning `4. Will you do two more requirements for Duty to God this month? Invite

Follow Up Set a time when you will meet back together (return and report). You may wish to call or talk to them during the week to give encouragement. If they break their commitments, be patient and loving. Go through the commitment process again. Re-teach the principle by the Spirit, invite, and then follow up.
