JOHN VENABLES AND ROBERT THOMPSON At school, John was a very attention seeking student who used to physically hurt himself in class and do things such as hit his head on the table and once choked another child with a ruler, he was transferred to another school where he met Robert who were both kept behind a year due to bad behaviour. John and Robert used to hang around with a group of teenagers who were older than them who behaved quite violently and the boys used to watch ‘scary’ films based around murder, such as Chuckie which the boys parents would rent out for them. Robert had a hard childhood as his parents often split up which put a lot of pressure on him and John was abused as a child. They kidnapped a 2 year old child called James Vulgar, the boys never admitted the reason why they took the child but they walked James miles and miles whilst beating him and inserting batteries into him before leaving him to die from his injuries on a train track, they were caught taking the child by CCTV outside the meatshop. They were both taken to court where they both blamed each other for their actions, they were not sentenced due to their age but if they were to convict again at an older age then they would be sent down.

BONNIE AND CLYDE. Clyde was convicted for theft and breaking the law and sent to prison, where he first murdered someone who used to sexually assult him, Bonnie’s mother died when she was only 4 years old. Clyde said he never wanted to seek fame, he wanted to get revenge on the Texas Prison system for the abuse he suffered through prison. Bonnie and Clyde first met whilst Bonnie was assisting a friend with a broken arm and Clyde visited the house, historians believe that Bonnie became loyal to Clyde because she was in love. The couple murdered 13 people, most people being police officers or sheriffs. They were

PETER SUTCKLIFFE – YORKSHIRE RIPPER He left school when he was 15, got jobs as a gravedigger, it is believed he may have had bad experience with a prostitute when he was younger. He had 22 victims, 7 of them survived, they were all women mostly prostitutes or people who looked slightly tarty, his youngest victim was only 14 years old. He says he was sent on a mission to kill them all and his orders were from God. The way he attacked his victims was by firstly hitting them on the head with a hammer, then he tended to rip their insides out and most of the time he would rape them as they lay there dying. He was convicted and received 20 life sentence imprisonments.

THE KRAY TWINS They were called Ronnie and Reggie Kray, also known as English gangsters. They owned a nightclub in the East of London, and were involved in organised crimes, Ronnie was openly bi-sexual. They committed robberies, assault, stabbing and shooting, arson and hijacking, the shooting was because the man was in the arch rival’s pub. One twin almost died at a very young age from a head injury after having a fight with the other twin, they both took up boxing as a sport and made it to the finals of the london boxing championship. They were sentenced to life imprisonment. Reggie once tried to shoot a man, but after the gun failed to discharge, he resulted to stabbing the victim in the head, neck and stomach. He ripped the mans liver out and flushed it down the toilet.
