How Easy Are They To Build? Beginners Advanced For the 6 LED Circle, Simple 4, and 4 RGB, if you've never, ever soldered before, 45 minutes. Experienced folks, 15 minutes. For the 5x7 Matrix, double the time. Don't worry about taking extra time - the goal here is to *enjoy* building the blinkie. Bright LEDs So what is a “bright” LED? At least 20 times brighter than the standard - dazzling in the dark, annoyingly bright under indoor lighting, and visible under sunlight. We have red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and white. In bi-color, we have red/green, red/blue, and green/blue. In RGB, we have them in, uh, red/green/blue :-) Dale and Dwayne search the world looking for the best LEDs. Seriously. To borrow a metaphor, LEDs are like a box of chocolates. We never know (for sure) what we are going to get. What you see here is what meets our standards.
