Relax … Everything (and more) is on The Wiki

What is a Librarian’s Role? Be the heart of the school’s literacy program. To serve students, teachers, and parents to that end.

Foundational Beliefs Leveled texts are good for readers. Allowing children to have access to their reading data is important. Students should read a variety of genres on a variety of platforms. Students want to be accountable. Life-long love of reading is great & something we should strive to share BUT… Building excellent readers is our MOST important job.

Reading is the Process ….and the reward. Rewarding kids with books, gives reading a boost.

We Use AR & Other Tools Also, AR is OUR “tool;” we are not tools!

Visible Learning For Teachers Visible Learning and Teaching occurs when teachers see learning through the eyes of students and help them become their own teachers.

John Hattie on … Success Criteria Success criteria relate to knowledge of end points – that is, how do we know when we arrive? “Just Drive.” Imagine if I were simply to ask to get in your car and drive; at some unspecified time, I’ll let you know when you’ve arrived (if you arrive at all). For too many students, this is what learning feels like.

Daniel Pink on Motivation RSA: What Motivates Us - Dan Pink How can we apply the principles set forth in the video to teaching and learning? What does Pink tell us we need in order to be motivated?
