Then He said to them all, " If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Luke 9:23 2

* How often are you to be obedient? * “take up his cross daily” 3

These were more fair- minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Acts 17:11 4

* They received the Word and studied EVERY day. 5

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11 6

* Why put God's Word in your heart? * To keep from sinning against Him. 7

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 8

* Without study we cannot show ourselves approved of God 9

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 2 Peter 2:2 10

* We are to desire the Word of God; we should have a craving for it. 11

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:14 14

* We pray through Christ. We ask in His Name. 15

* We follow Christ daily. * We study the word of God daily. * We pray to God daily. 16
