The digestive system is the system that absorbs the nutrients from the food that we eat, so our cells can do the vital funcions. This system is composed by the organs and the glands ORGANS: Stomach Small intestine Large intestine Introduccion GLANDS: Salivary glands Liver Gallbladder Pancreas

After the food has been chewed it goes down into the stomach through the esophagus. In the stomach, the food is mixed with the enzymes.

After the food has been mixed with the enzymes, it will go down the small intestine. In the beginning of the intestine the food will be mixed with some other enzymes. In the small intestine is where the nutrients will be absorbed by intestinal hair so the nutrients can arrive to the cells by the blood.

LARGE INTESTINE Once the nutrients have been absorbed in the small intestine the rests that haven’t been digested form the fece. Finally the fece goes outside from the anus.
