Fifteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Alleluia, Alleluia, Christ is with us He is with us indeed Alleluia And so we gather. In the name of the Father…

Follow me, follow me, leave your home and family, Leave your fishing nets and boats upon the shore. Leave the seed that you have sown, leave the crops that you have grown, leave the people you have known and follow me. 1. The foxes have their holes, and the swallows have their nests, but the son of man has no place to lay down. I do not offer comfort, I do not offer wealth, but in me will all happiness be found. 2. If you would follow me, you must leave old ways behind. You must take my cross and follow on my path. You may be far from loved ones, you may be far from home, but my father will welcome you at last. 3. Although I go away you will never be alone. for the spirit will be there to comfort you. Though all of you may scatter, each follow his own path, still the spirit of love will lead you home.

Opening prayer God our Father, grant that we may see in your Son the face of your love and the word of salvation and mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, you give us eyes to see ways of peace and solidarity. Lord Have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Jesus Christ, you give us ears to hear requests for salvation. Christ have mercy Christ, have mercy. Lord Jesus, you take away the sins of the world. Lord have mercy Lord, have mercy.

Alleluia, Alleluia

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark Glory to you, Oh Lord The Gospel of the Lord Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

Alleluia, Alleluia

I wonder what you heard in the Gospel today. How would you have felt if Jesus asked you to leave everything and follow him? How will you spread the good news today?

Please come forward to collect a blank news letter for you class. What will your good news be in your class today?

As brothers and sisters in one loving family, together let us pray to our heavenly father. Lord hear our prayer. The response is sung, Lord hear our prayer. We Lord in your mercy We Lord in your mercy We Lord in your mercy

Knowing that our Heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts, let us share our own unspoken prayers with Him.

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. And we pray that all unity may one day be restored, and they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love. Yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love. We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand. We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand. And together we’ll spread the news that God is in our land. and they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love. Yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love. We will work with each other, we will work side by side. We will work with each other, we will work side by side. And we’ll guard each man’s dignity and save each man’s pride. and they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love. Yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love.

Loving Father, help us to share the good news of God’s love in the way we live our lives. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen
