Vampire bats don't really turn into Count Dracula, Vampire bats prey mainly on cows, horses and other large mammals. They make a shallow wound with their razor-sharp teeth then they lick up the blood. Found in central and south America

A bats wing is similar to a human arm!

There are close to 1,000 different species of bats. A lot of bats, eat fruit. There are also a number of bats who eat insects, fish, frogs and small animals. Babies feed on their mothers milk

bats have large ears and small eyes

Bats feed at night (they are "nocturnal") They usually sleep together in huge groups. Some caves may be home to thousands of bats

Bats are the only flying mammals.

During the cold winter, some bats migrate to a warmer area. Some bats (the brown bat) hibernate during the cold of winter, sleeping very deeply until warm weather arrives.

Batman is the only superhero, who has no superpowers

Bats cannot see very well, (but are not blind) There echo-location system allows Them to catch small insects in complete Darkness.

You could be fined up to £5000 for killing or harming a bat. They are an endangered species!!
