Lesson 1  Science lesson on weather in second grade classroom combining science and language arts standards.  First text is read aloud with text-based questions  Text is reread and main idea webs created in small groups Focus of Lesson

Lesson 2  Vocabulary is reviewed  Second text is read aloud with text dependent questions  Students add to graphic organizers  Students summarize notes from graphic organizer in own words  Students record summaries in Voicethread Focus of Lesson
