SOLA R POWE R

Solar Power is generated from the PV (Photovoltaic) solar panels and delivered to the control centre. The control centre is made up of an inverter/charger, charge controller, circuit protection and monitoring equipment. The charge controller determines the amount of energy the batteries require at any one time from the generation sources and protects them from over charging. The inverter/charger converts DC power stored in the battery bank to 230vac for the home. If there is insufficient renewable generation to maintain the battery bank, the inverter/charger will automatically start the back up generator and become a battery charger to quickly charge up the batteries.

FUN FACTS!!! 1954, D.M. Chapin, C.S. Fuller and G.L. Pearson, of Bell Laboratory, patented a way of making electricity directly from sunlight using silicon-based solar cells. the sun does not transfer a substance called energy to Earth. The nuclear reactions in the sun produce light that travels through space and that increase the energy level of objects the light strikes on Earth. More energy falls on the earth in 1 hour than is used by everyone in the world in 1 year.

Pro's Provides heat, cooling, hot water and light for homes and businesses Is a renewable resource :) Con's The biggest drawback to using solar energy is the cost of the technology Solar energy is not available on demand in every location on Earth :(
