The solar cells or photovoltaic cells captures the sunlight & transforms it to electricity.
Solar energy can be converted into other forms of energy, like heat and electricity.
Solar energy is a completely renewable resource.

In the U.K. they have grants available to help install solar power to your house.
Only a small fraction of the sun hits the Earth but the panels save the energy to heat & produce electricity for your home.
It saves you money on gas and electricity bills.
It’s good for the environment because it’s a renewable resource.

4. Solar Energy
We use the sun to dry our clothes, grow food & many other things.
The sun is very powerful even though its 150 million kilometers away from Earth.
Only a small fraction of the sun hits the Earth.

5. Electricity
Today everyone all over the world uses electricity to power homes, schools, buildings, streets & many other things.
There are electrically fueled cars in use today. There are about 500 public charging stations in California and Arizona.

To charge anything that uses electricity, you have to plug it in an electric outlet.
In order to use the internet you need electricity to power your computer, phone or any electric device.
Everything has something to do with electricity.
