 Firefighters are primarily responsible for responding to fires, accidents and other incidents where risks are posed to life and property. Firefighters work on a variety of emergencies, from chemical spills to water rescue.

 Firefighters put out fires.  Accident and Fire Prevention Control and Firefighting. Care hazardous materials incidents. Prehospital Care. Rescue of people and animals in an emergency. Assistance and rescue in traffic accidents. Control of prevention in the building (technical support).

 About 10 hours of work per day.  About 58 hours of work per week.

 Training that leads to an associate degree in fire science, which can enhance job prospects, is available from many postsecondary schools. The program at Seminole State College of Florida takes about two years to complete and can be applied to a four-year Bachelor of Applied Science degree. Subjects covered include how fire behaves and spreads, fire prevention practices, and strategies and tactics for fighting fires.

 I like to put out fire, I like the risk because it is dangerous and fun. I like to drive fast with fire trucks and I would like to save people from fires.
