ESTABLISHING A MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISE Can you create and run a manufacturing enterprise?

Objectives  Students will design, produce, and sale goods through a company they establish.  Students will learn to develop and sustain a business.  Students will produce a business plan.

What is a manufacturing enterprise?  A manufacturing enterprise is a company/business established to manufacture and sale goods.  You will e working as a team to establish your own manufacturing enterprise in our class.

Setting Up an Enterprise  Assess community and student needs  Conduct market research Assess what goods are needed by the community and school What products would they be interested in and how much would they pay for it? Create a detailed product description of what will be provided Identify resources for support and materials  Define the product  Create a drawing and build a mockup of the product design.

Using the template provided, create a business plan for a product you conduct market research about. Follow the instructions on the template as your create your plan. You will create your plan with a partner. Setting Up an Enterprise
