3 The Content of a Business Plan
Operations and Development Plan How product will be produced or service provided The equipment and human resources required for production. What authorizations, if any, will be required to begin project?

4 GENERAL List your normal trading hours.
Detail your expected peak trading times and which times you expect to be more profitable. List also the trading hours if the business is seasonal.

5 PHYSICAL PLANT What type of premises are they and what is the size and location? Do you owned the location? If not, are you going to rent / purchase?

6 EQUIPMENT What tools and technology do you require to be up and running or to take your company to the next level? Describe the equipment necessary and how much of it you need Include also its worth and cost, and explain any financing arrangements.

7 TECHNOLOGY List the technology you require to run your business.
For example: website, point of sale software or accounting package. Provide also a brief description of hardware including servers, specialized technology and computer equipment required.

8 PRODUCTION Explain how long it takes to produce a unit, and when you will be able to start producing your product or service. Include factors that may affect the time frame of production and how you will deal with potential problems such as rush orders.

9 INVENTORY Explain how you will keep track of inventory.
How much you will keep on hand, where it will be stored, and how you’ll have it shipped to third- partners if applicable.

10 SUPPLIERS Who will be providing you with all the materials that you will not be manufacturing yourself? List your main suppliers and detail what they supply to your business.

11 PERSONNEL How many staff will you require your daily operations?
What will their duties look like? Who they are, what their qualifications are and what their responsibilities will be.

12 How do you plan to execute your business?
